MilSim General Rules
Alright soldiers, let's talk about MilSims. Now obviously if you are reading this thread then you most likely have at least some idea of what a MilSim is. If not then please go google it.
In this thread we will list most of the basic rules, restrictions, and general expected behavior. When in an active operation, it is highly expected that all participants respect and follow the rules as provided. These rules may be amended at any time but will always try to reflect what is found in an actual engagement.
* Weapons used must be those that would likely be issued for the party you are representing. This includes but not limited to: rifles, side arms, equipment, accessories, etc.
* If you die, you cannot spawn on squad mates, at captured flags, or on vehicles. You must spawn at the deploy on foot with the standard equipment that has been approved.
* Under most circumstances, vehicles are used at a minimum. If a transport heli is to be deployed then it will only do so after there are enough soldiers at the deploy to fill it. all others must wait.
* In the event that vehicles have been approved for use, the squads that have permission to operate them must designate a specific individual to operate within their squad, however, no single soldier is allowed to operate more than one type of vehicle in any given op. (E.I. one member of the squad may operate a heli but another would have to operate a tank.)
* While in the op it is expected that the orders from ranking officers be followed to effect without deviation if at all possible. If you get wiped out, blame the C.O. and try to revise your plan. It is also expected to treat the op as if you are actually there. In this way we can move as intended and the op will progress in a more realistic manner.
* Order of rankings from bottom to top are as follows:
= Grunts - Squad members
= Lieutenant - Second in command of squad in event of Captain dying, chosen by the Captain
= Captain - Squad Leader
= Colonel - Platoon Leader (acts as liaison between Platoon members and Unit Leader)
= General - Unit Leader (oversees several Platoons and acts as liaison between Platoons and Council, may have one appointed representative 'Second in Command' in the event they cannot represent themselves in a UN related matter)
= Council - Deciding Collective heading the UN. (Decisions made by them can only by challenged by the President under certain conditions as laid out in the Treaty)
= President- Elected leader of the UN. (Can challenge Council under certain conditions)
(For conditional restrictions for Council and President, please reference 'Treaty of the United Nations' document)
