Hey guys! Back again with more info for ya!. This time I would like talk about Arma 3; specifically the zombie infested one lol.
Now, as some may or may not know, Arma 3 is a simulation type game that has very few competitors in its genre. The game is still considered beta testing even after about 5 years of development. Why? Well largely because they are constantly adding to it and it has gotten to the point that even the players are adding mods to it that largely go supported by the game devs. A good example is Exiles featuring smart, lethal AI's that will kill on sight, not to mention the deadheads strolling about, waiting for the chance to gnaw on your face.
So, lets start at the beginning with some tips so you have an idea of what to expect, how to navigate, and generally survive.
When loading into most servers, you will be falling to the ground very quickly, (exiles starts this way and so do several others). Don't panic. Simply press the scroll button on your mouse and press space bar. This will deploy your parachute. As you descend, look for where you want to go. Try not to land in the middle of a town; bad idea. Something else to mention, try to avoid hitting the ground at more than 15 kmph unless you want to break your legs or die. You'll see your speed in the lower right corner. Pressing "S" will slow you down and allow for better control.
Pressing "ESC" on your keyboard will pull up your menu where you can look under configure to see the key assignments. This is handy and will allow you to know which does what. I highly recommend using this as soon as you are in a safe place to look at it. Different servers will have some keys assigned to have other functions based on owners preference.
Going on from there, your best friend will be the "L shift" key and "X" key. On most servers, "L shift" + "W" allows you to run. "X" allows you to crouch. try to stay mobile but try not to be seen if possible. Zombies aren't the only threat that waits for you. Players are even more dangerous. Sometimes you run into a cool player, not often. Most will kill on sight so be wary.
-Continued when time allows-
